Freedom Day USA
Freedom Day USA is the United States of America's largest Military and Veteran THANK YOU Movement! This national event was founded by Dr. Robert Martino, owner of Wilson Martino Dental, West Virginia's largest dental chain; and built upon by the members of The Platinum Circle, a group of elite dentists who practice throughout our country. Dr. Martino's vision was to give the members of our Military a Freedom Day, a day where we thanked them for giving us our Freedom. The idea is to provide FREE services, goods, products, etc... as a Thank You for the sacrifice, service and FREEDOM which these men and women have provided to us. The initial Freedom Day event was held on September 12, 2013 and in the future, we will announce annual event dates.

Angel Tree ShoppingThere is no better feeling than knowing over 100 WV Children will be smiling because of the magic of the season! Every year, our doctors generously donate their personal funds to bring Christmas to little ones across the region and our team members donate their time to help shop, wrap, tag and deliver the gifts. This annual activity creates such a rewarding experience for us all!

FARM DAYTake a look at our latest FARM DAY Team-Building event! Dr. Martino hosted the WVU Men's Basketball team at his farm in Bridgeport to engage in a serious game of Capture the flag.

The Martino Home for Cats and Dogs
The Harrison County Humane Society dedicated their newly renovated building as “The Martino Home For Cats and Dogs”. The celebration was held in honor of Dr. Robert Martino, his wife Lori, and their children – Taylor, Kobe and Clay. Over the past year, the Martino’s have donated and pledged over $100,000 toward the Humane Societies mortgage, aiding in the renovations and saving countless animals.
Free Kids DayFree Kids day is an annual event providing free dental care to children 12 and under at each Wilson Martino Dental Office. |
Freedom Day USAFreedom Day USA is now a national event with hundreds of dental offices involved, we provide free dental care to all Veterans and Active Military personnel. |
Candy Buy BackEvery year after Halloween, we offer to buy back all candy from our patients and send it overseas to Active Military members. |
Community Partners with Local School SystemsWe have committed to community partnerships in all of the 5 counties that our businesses serve, over the years we have made school donations, signage for sports events, and paid for renovations that our school buildings needed. |
School Tours, Career Days, and Health FairsWe have actively participated in as many outreach programs as possible throughout the years. |
Oral Cancer Awareness MonthOur Dental Offices offer FREE Oral Cancer Screenings for our community during the month of April. |
High School Tournament "Theme Days"we provide FREE t-shirts for every student at the local high schools (all 5 Counties, multiple schools per county) when their sports team made it to the tournaments. We specifically supported basketball season for a few years, supporting the kids who needed a school shirt for playoffs and tournament play. |
Martino Home for Cats and DogsWe have a partnership with the local Humane Society and give donations each year to ensure each cat and dog is safe, happy, and comfortable. |
National Children's Dental Health MonthEvery February our Smile Defenders Team visits hundreds of WV schools and daycares to provide FREE Dental Health Programs to the students. We see, on average, 4,000 children a year and provide each of them with an activity book that includes parent information and coupons for complementary care. |
Pageant SponsorshipsPartnering with Pageant competitors whose platforms involve confidence, health and more - providing the competitors with teeth whitening and other financial sponsorships as needed (they advocate for healthy living) - examples include: Strawberry Festival Queen and Teen Queen, Mrs. West Virginia. |
Angel Tree ShoppingEvery year all of our partners and employees personally go shopping for an angel in our community. |
Save 100 Dogs this Summer!2023 was the first year for this event, our love for dogs is unending, we promise to pay half of the adoption fee for 100 dogs adopted at our local Humane Society. |
12 Months of GivingOur teams select one giving activity per month to help them volunteer and give back to the community. This is not necessarily dental related, it could be volunteering at a local food bank, adopt-a-highway, community clean up, food drives, volunteering at the senior centers, creating gift packages, etc... Dr. Martino developed the program and then empowered each team to choose activities that they were passionate about. |

FARM DAYSDr. M frequently hosts farm days for school organizations, sports organizations and more where they can come team-build with paintball, outdoor activities and picnic lunches. One example is the WVU Men's Basketball team. |
Annual Coat DriveEach year we host a coat drive and donate all coats to the local Salvation Army. |
Sports Team SponsorshipsWe have sponsored hundreds of local Little League Soccer, Basketball, Football, and Golf teams. |
Community Sponsorships, Donations, and Improvementsover the years we have partnered with our communities in countless ways, some examples include: building steps at Hite Field so that grandparents didn't have to climb a steep bank to see their little play sports, sponsoring and helping to build pickleball courts at the local parks, park clean up events, etc |
Runs and Healthy Living Activity SponsorsWe believe a healthy community is the key to success, that's why we sponsor a number of 5K runs and other Healthy Living Events throughout our community. |
